We’re not a big agency, and that’s by design. Our small, dedicated team delivers a hands-on, personalised experience, collaborating closely with clients to create brands that feel authentic, cohesive, and built to grow. Founded in 2008 by designer and creative director Ruth Barrow, Whistler Creative is a women-owned and run studio rooted in British Columbia. We bring strategy, creativity, and care to every project. The people you meet on day one are the people who stay with you to the finish line.
I always knew I’d work in art and design, and that I’d do it for myself. Everyone in my family was self-employed, so neither piece felt like a leap. After a degree in visual communication, I landed in Whistler, BC. Design career options were thin, so starting my own studio made sense. Whistler Creative began in 2008 with just me, and it’s a small team these days. Staying boutique was always the dream. I wanted an outlet for my creativity, with plenty of room for the mountains, and the kind of weekends that involve a project, an adventure, great food, or all 3.
