Squamish Chamber of Commerce

Brand Identity · Website · Event Branding · Collateral

The Squamish Chamber of Commerce had a problem many organizations face: they were invisible as themselves. Their visual presence blurred into the District of Squamish and Tourism Squamish — organizations they frequently appeared alongside — and the Chamber had no distinct identity to call its own. They needed to show up clearly: professional, elevated, and unmistakably theirs.

The scope was significant. A complete visual rebrand, a new website with complex integrations, and enough collateral to carry the identity across every touchpoint — all within a four-month timeline.

The Approach

We started with the brand. Getting that right before touching anything else meant every decision that followed had something solid to build from. The creative direction was deliberate: professional and elevated, but warm. A Chamber is a community organization, and the brand needed to feel like one.

Once the identity was established, it shaped everything — the website architecture, the event sub-brands, the templates, the reports, the stationery. Rather than designing each piece in isolation, we built a system. One the Chamber team could use confidently long after the project wrapped.

A flat lay showing Squamish Chamber business stationery, an open laptop displaying their website, a smartphone with their site, a pen, business cards, letterhead, and an AGM flyer, all with a cohesive blue and white design.

The Result

When the proofs came back approved, the message from their team said it all: “We absolutely love the direction you have gone with the fonts/colors/shapes and think you nailed it. I want to thank you for taking all of our feedback and incorporating it so thoughtfully.”

The Chamber now has a brand that stands on its own — one that reflects the calibre of the organization and gives their team the tools to show up consistently everywhere they need to be. From a membership directory to a gala invitation, it all feels cohesive, intentional, and theirs.

"I cannot say enough about how great it was to work with Ruth and Whistler Creative. Ruth's talent is unquestionable, and the entire process was streamlined and smooth, from our initial consultation through to design meetings and training. She was able to adeptly incorporate feedback and bring our vision to life in a way that exceeded all my expectations."
