Hello! I’m excited to chat with you about your upcoming design project. Outlined below are all the basics about working with Whistler Creative. Please read through the intro packet carefully to ensure that my processes work for you. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask.

Office Hours + How to Contact

Our typical work hours are Monday-Friday from 9am to 4pm PST. (Although hours may vary from time to time).  With intermittent availability around all major Canadian holidays including Christmas and New Year.
During your project we will primarily use email, Client Portal and proofing software to communicate, track the project progress and any to-do items. This helps keep everything organized and in one place. I do my best to reply to all communication regarding active projects the same day (during working hours).
If you need to chat via phone/Skype or an in-person meeting, you can schedule an appointment. Scheduling calls keeps my work from being interrupted and allows me focus on your project!

What’s Included

Every project and business is unique, so you will be provided with a custom quote based on your individual requirements, this document will outline all the elements that are included, number of revisions and other necessary information.

All projects include a kick-off meeting or call and priority email support for the duration of the project and continued support after completion.

Custom Client Portal

The Client Portal is where you can find everything you need during our project including all your files, important links, homework list, resources to how to contact me. You’ll have full access to this area throughout the whole project and for 6 months after completion.


Every project process varies, but here is an overview of how it flows with most clients. I promise to make the process an easy (and fun!) experience.

  • After the estimate is accepted, an invoice for a 50% non-refundable deposit will be sent.
  • I then start by learning everything I can about your business & vision. This is done through the homework phase – a workbook and inspiration board.
  • Then we schedule an initial kick-off call to answer any additional questions.
  • You then send me any content you have for the project.
  • We then work through the designs/development and feedback phase.
  • When the designs/website is approved, you’ll make the final payment.
  • I send over all the final files and/or launch the new website! And we are all done!

Goals + Vision

I’ll send you a worksheet with questions to get an in-depth look at your business, so I can get an understanding of your business and offerings, in order to strategically plan the project.


Design and content need to work together to communicate successfully, therefore it is important that I get your content before we begin.
Starting with the content will let me focus the design around your content and highlight all the important aspects. It also saves time, costs and keeps the project on track.


I need to see what inspires you! If we agree to work together, you’ll make a vision board of images that match the aesthetic and feel of your vision.

Payment Schedule

A non-refundable 50% deposit is required prior to beginning your project, to secure a spot on my schedule.

Once the final design has been approved by you, I’ll send you the invoice for the remaining balance. Please keep in mind that the final balance must be paid in full before the final files are provided and/or website launch.

Accepted methods of payment are e-transfer, credit card, cash or cheque. (Cheques will need to be cleared before project start/completion). All Estimates and Invoices are billed through our bookkeeping system Freshbooks.


How long will my project take?

Project timelines vary, as they depend on a number of factors; including schedule openings, complexity, type of project and your response time on providing initial content and feedback. An estimated timeline will be provided with the quote.

How much will my project cost?

The cost of the project is based on a number of factors: complexity, scope and timeline, therefore a custom quote will be provided after our initial consultation.

What if I can’t get the homework ready in time?

If there is a delay in getting the homework to us, this may result in a delay in the project schedule and final delivery date. Let us know if you think you can’t make the deadline.

What If I need to call you?

I schedule all my calls to avoid being interrupted, which allows me to focus on the projects and keep to schedule. The best way to contact us is via email or through the project management system, I aim to respond to emails regarding current projects the same business day. Click here to schedule a call.

When will you start on my project?

Once the estimate and contract are accepted I schedule in the project, the start day will vary depending on my current workload.

How do I use the Client Portal?

Once we start working together I will provide you with all the info you need to use the Client Portal and other systems.
